TARRAT feat. Sophia Ramos
Posted by Webmastor
"Years before officially joining Voivod, Jasonic jammed with Away and Piggy at The Chophouse under
the project name TARRAT. In 1998, the three Voivod instrumentalists regrouped at The Chophouse for five
days of improvisational metal. These sessions produced tons of great sounds, including the initial
structure of the song "M-Body" (that can be found on the Voivod LP Phobos) as well as this recording
entitled "One Reason," featuring the vocal stylings of Sophia Ramos. Taped a few months after TARRAT had laid down
their music tracks, her vocals added a distinctive and unexpected touch of class to the original composition." -- Jason
A full serving of this track will be released very soon. Stay tuned...

GODSWALLOP feat. Sophia Ramos
Posted by Webmastor
"For the past few weeks, we've been sharing with all of you our first selection of very fresh Rough
Cuts. It's now time to mix things up with some aged Prime Cuts...as promised. To give you a taste of
what's to come, here's an appetizer that reveals the variety of flavors stashed away in The Chophouse
cold storage." -- Jason
The track "...And Another Thing" was originally recorded in 1996.
The line-up for this track includes Jason
on Bass, Andreas Kisser on Guitar and Carl Coletti on Drums, collectively known
as Godswallop. It features the voice of Sophia Ramos who went on to become The Chophouse's secret weapon and can be heard
on many of the projects, including the first offering from EchoBrain.
A full serving of this track will be released very soon. Stay tuned...

"These Chophouse Rough Cuts are fragments of weekly, improvisational jams
to which we assign working titles upon our first playback. You're
hearing the music exactly as it was recorded at The Chophouse. No
script...no cheating...no doctoring... no overdubs...just noise for
the love of noise! We look forward to sharing our studio madness
with all of our friends and fans of The Chophouse." --
Jason

Chris and Dave went on to join
the EchoBrain line-up for their Keep Me Alive Tour in 2002 (by the way, EchoBrain's new album
'Glean' hits stores on April 20! You must check it out!). The archival tapes from which this first
serving comes is dated New Year's Day 1997:

THE SNATCH RACKET
Posted by Webmastor
"A two-piece spawn of Papa Wheelie. Swiiglor on the drum kit plus Jaylor playing bass equals The
Snatch Racket. Noisy and beautiful...anything can happen...a must listen. Still in its earliest stages,
this is just a sampling of what's to come." -- Jason

THE GOOD DEVILS
Posted by Webmastor
"Yet another project spawned by the Wheelie. A power trio comprising Jaylor on guitar and vox,
Joefus on bass and a young Chophouse fiend/friend Josh Wisenor on drums. The Devil mixes multiple
musical influences to forge a hellish sound." -- Jason

PAPA WHEELIE

"The noisiest metal on two wheels is alive and well. Eight years on the trail and counting, session
after session, ride after ride, stronger every time. The wheels continue to roll one way...uphill...faster.
Here's a taste of where the Wheelie has been treading most recently." -- Jason
